Education Resilience and Learning Continuity Plan (ERLCP)

“The COVID-19 pandemic has altered human engagement, systems operation, and resource allocation. Amidst these changing dynamics, meeting the educational needs of learners remains front and center … learners’ rights to education remain protected and non-negotiable. Despite the added challenges of the pandemic, it is imperative for education to continue.”

The University of the Philippines College of Education (UPCEd) presents this Education Resilience and Learning Continuity Plan (ERLCP) to guide policy makers, administrators, teachers, parents, and researchers in adapting to the changes brought about by the pandemic to the Philipppine basic education system.

COVID-19 Dictionary for Filipino Children in Filipino and English (Full Version)

The COVID-19 Dictionary for Filipino Children is a gift of the Reading, Early Grades, Art and Language Education (REGALE) cluster of the UP College of Education to children and their families. We hope that this dictionary will help young learners understand the key terms associated with the pandemic we are all experiencing. We made the dictionary in both Filipino and English so that it will be accessible to more Filipino children. We likewise collaborated with children, parents and teachers from the Deaf community in order to produce videos of the Filipino Signs for the terms in the dictionary. Links to these FSL videos were embedded in the dictionary. Some entries have been updated in accordance with the comments and suggestions of those who have initially seen and used it.
