FULL-TIME TEACHING POSITION (TENURE TRACK) AT THE

U.P. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

 

 

Position: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Special Education

Division: Curriculum and Instruction

Institution: College of Education

 

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Holds a Doctor of Philosophy or at least a Master of Arts in Special Education from a reputable institution;
  • Has adequate experience in assessment, curriculum and lesson planning, instructional and assessment materials production, and/or teaching of children with special educational needs;
  • Has experience in educating and planning and implementing programs for learners with special educational needs in basic and/or tertiary education
  • Demonstrates language-communication proficiency;
  • Demonstrates research and publication potentials and/or achievement;
  • Shows a growing reputation in Special Education; and
  • Of good moral character and integrity.

Applicants are asked to submit the following to the Office of the Division of Curriculum and Instruction on or before 29 February 2016:

  • Letter of application;
  • Curriculum vitae;
  • Official transcript of records (original and photocopy)
  • Awards and recognition received for teaching;
  • Proofs of research work and publication;
  • Proofs of participation and/or presentation in a conference;
  • Letters of recommendation from and contact information of former professors, employers and significant persons who can attest to applicant’s character integrity;
  • Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) or equivalent; and
  • Teaching portfolio.
