DOST Scholarships for 1st Semester 2021-2022

UP College of Education (UPCED) is accepting applications for DOST scholarships and grants for the following courses:

MAED Biology Education
MAED Chemistry Education
MAED Environmental Education
MAED General Science
MAED Mathematics Education
MAED Physics Education

PHD Biology Education
PHD Chemistry Education
PHD Mathematics Education
PHD Physics Education

Deadline is extended until 18 August 2021.

Privileges of DOST Grants/Scholarships

Grants Offered:

  1. Research Grant (up to PhP 89,000 for master’s and PhP 289,000 for Ph.D.)
  2. Dissemination Grant (up to PhP 75,000 for master’s and PhP 100,000 for PhD; local or foreign)

Scholarships Offered:

1. Full-time Scholarship:

  • Free Tuition
  • Monthly Stipend (PhP 25,000 for master’s and PhP 33,000 for doctorate)
  • Book Allowance (PhP 10,000 per semester)
  • Transportation Allowance (depends on location)
  • Research Allowance (PhP 50,000 for thesis and PhP100,000 for dissertation)

2. Part-time Scholarship:

  • Free Tuition
  • Thesis Allowance (PhP 50,000)

Qualifications and Procedure for DOST Scholarship

For 1st Semester AY 2021-2022 Applicants:

Major Qualification:  Must have been admitted to UPCED in any of its programs for Math and Science Education

Republic Act (RA) 11261 or the ‘First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act’ was signed into law on 10 April 2019 with the objective of ensuring and improving the accessibility of government services and employment for first-time jobseekers. Through this law, government fees and charges, including those collected by State Universities/Colleges (SUCs), shall be waived if the requested documents are required in the employment application of first-time job seekers.

Advisory from the Office of the College Secretary (OSec) | 4 August 2021

Following announcements that the National Capital Region (NCR) will be placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) on 6-20 August 2021 and that offices in the College will return to a Work from Home (WFH) arrangement (Memorandum No. JTB 2021-008), please be informed that the release of hard copies of requested certificates and other documents will be suspended during the said period. The Office, however, will continue to accept requests and release requested documents through the email: educrequests.updiliman@up.edu.ph.

Advisory on Office of the College Secretary (OSec) Transactions During the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) Period from 06 to 20 August 2021

Following the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) placing the National Capital Region under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), the televised address of the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson dated 30 July 2021, and UP College of Education – Office of the Dean Memorandum No. JTB-2021-008, the Office of the College Secretary currently will continue to implement a WORK FROM HOME (WFH) arrangement from 06 (Friday) to 20 (Friday) August 2021.
