Webinar: Facilitating Learning in the Virtual Language Classroom: Experiences, Challenges, Insights

In celebration of the UP College of Education’s 103rd Foundation Anniversary, the REGALE Cluster presents “Facilitating Learning in the Virtual Language Classroom: Experiences, Challenges, Insights”. The video is part of the second series of webinars for the UP College of Education’s program, Education Resilience and Learning Continuity in the time of COVID-19. It was streamed live on December 19, 2020. In the video, Dr. Lourdes R. Baetiong identifies common experiences and challenges that language teachers encounter in delivering their lessons in the new normal. She presents ways by which the identified challenges may be addressed, and she discusses insights from the shared experiences. Finally, she strengthens our resolve to remain effective facilitators of learning amidst the pandemic.

Joyful Noise, Creative Mess: A Poetry and Art Jam

This is an open mic poetry event with a drawing session on the side, where people can share poetry and their visual interpretations. It further allows people to create together and share their love for the arts.

Bring your favorite poem/s or write one on the spot! Be ready with your paper, pen, and other materials for some poetry-inspired artwork!

National Conference on Curriculum Studies (NCCS): Designing Curriculum and Instruction in the Next Normal

The Curriculum Studies Association of the Philippines Inc. (CSAPI) in collaboration with the University of the Philippines, College of Education, Curriculum Studies Area is organizing the National Conference on Curriculum Studies (NCCS) to be held on July 17, 2021.


The theme is “Designing Curriculum and Instruction in the Next Normal” which will bring together scholars, researchers, and educators across disciplines for conversations on curricular and instructional practices in the post-COVID-19 era called the ‘next normal.’


Our keynote speaker is Dr. Ng Soo Boon of SEGi University, Malaysia. Our distinguished plenary speakers include Dr. Diosdado San Antonio of the Department of Education, Dr. Jessie Barrot of the National University, and Dr. Luis Maria Calingo of the Holy Angel University. Aside from the plenary speeches and paper presentations, another relevant segment of the conference is the CURRICULUM MAPPING WORKSHOP. The objective of this workshop is to determine curriculum alignment using curriculum mapping as a tool and process.
